It goes subsonic around 900 yards but still has a decent group at 1000. Not quite as flat shooting as a 77 SMK but they fragment out to 200 yards on coyotes at 2850-2900 fps. My go to load for my .223's is a 75gr Hornady match bullet and 25.5grs of CFE 223. I see CFE223 mentioned here frequently but have never used it.

I bought a pound for resting and finally got around to testing it at the range yesterday with the Hornady 160 FTX bullet. The best group 3 shot group at 100 yards yielded 1.120 inches.The Dilemma. Look at the Hodgdon reloading page. They have data for the 77gr SMK and CFE223. I personally did not find any nodes with CFE223 that beat my TAC loads for velocity, SD, and group size in 77gr bullets.
